The school was started in 1977 on the landed property of Dr. C.T. Eapen Trust in commemoration of the Shastiabdipoorthi of His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Mathew II, Catholicose and Malankara Metropolitan of the East, the Metropolitan of Kollam Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church. Hence the school was named as Bishop Mathews Mar Coorilos Shastiabdipoorthi Memorial High School. (Bishop M.M.C.S.P.M. High School) It is located on the eastern side of the Sasthamcotta fresh water lake.

Bishop M.M.C.S.P.M High School is a state syllabus English Medium School Recognised by the Govt: of Kerala. The school has classes from
LKG to Std X . Smt: C Annamma is the principal of the school. Mr. Babu Kuttan is the PTA president for the year 2024 – 2025. The school has an experienced and friendly faculty.
